The training was located in Sydney, Nova Scotia and all candidates had to relocate for six months. Dana was excited about the adventure and boarded the plane, leaving her family behind. She had high hopes and a passion for maritime safety. However, she encountered several challenges and witnessed behaviors’ of several instructors that troubled her.
