On January 5, 2021, OIC and Dana had a telephone meeting in which they discussed Dana’s complaints and possible solutions going forward. She suggested that she thought that mediation with the people Dana was complaining about would be the best course of action. Dana related that she did not think that would work. Dana also asked the OIC if she would consider releasing her to a secondment position for a period of up to a year so that Dana could have some time away from the MCTS environment that she felt had made her very ill. Dana had been in contact with her manager from Service Canada and was offered a one year term position under her previous manager if the OIC would release her to fulfill this commitment. Dana desperately wanted to maintain her employment with the Government of Canada.
